Axonista’s People Ops Team wins the ‘Health and Wellness Award’ at the 2022 Diversity in Tech Awards!
Axonista, Ireland’s leading video commerce technology company, has won the Health and Wellness Award at this year’s Diversity in Tech Awards, for championing wellness at work. The prestigious award ceremony, which took place at the RDS on the 21st of September 2022, also recognised eBay, The Open Doors Initiative, Cognizant, Access Earth, Oracle, and Fiserv for their achievements.
About the Diversity in Tech Awards
The Diversity in Tech Awards shines a light on organisations striving to create a more diverse & inclusive workplace. The event, which started as the Women in Tech Awards and has grown into a programme celebrating all facets of diversity within the tech industry over the last three years, includes 17 awards celebrating the industry’s achievements in this field.

Health and Wellness at Axonista
Employees’ health and wellness is crucial to Axonista’s company culture. As a remote company, we recognise the importance of supporting our team and creating an environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance. We encourage our team to take time off, and we host various online and in-person events focusing on building connections and enabling our employees to feel well.
We have been running our new Wellness program since January 2022, and our ‘Themed Months’ have been hugely popular. Some highlights include our inaugural Wellness Month, which took place in February. We had a number of online activities that focused on wellness, encouraging everyone to take care of themselves. We also had a company-wide day off in February to focus on individual wellness. We have our “First Friday” initiative, where we encourage everyone to come together and meet their peers and friends for a day of working in a shared working space on the first Friday of every month.
In addition to creating a workplace that promotes wellness, we know that providing a supportive environment to our employees is essential to help our team, provide flexibility and boost engagement. We have implemented many support policies such as Health Insurance Contribution, Work From Anywhere Policy and Working From Home Scheme. We also provide the Axonista Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), designed to assist employees in dealing more effectively with personal or work-related issues, but also to provide them with information and access to key resources that can make their day-to-day life that little bit easier.
